Hello Everyone,
I
wanted to try out this book because my family and I will be
incorporating vegan/vegetarian meals into our diets more often though we
are not going full vegan or vegetarian. I do understand the health
benefits of such a lifestyle and respect those that choose this way of
life. That is what I liked about the books introduction, it wasn’t
preachy or in your face this is how the world should be and you are
terrible if you do not comply. It was straight to the point and I can
appreciate that greatly. It also came with a free link inside to another
book that goes more in detail about the vegan lifestyle.
Pros:The recipes are categorized for easy access. I loved the simplicity of the recipes, ingredients, and steps involved to prepare the food. It doesn’t feel intimidating or a staggering feet to make something yummy with no animal products. Everything in the ebook is plain and in a very straightforward format with no pictures which is actually ok for me. I don’t like when I make food and it turns out nothing like the staged photos of regular cookbooks. I look forward to trying out every single recipe in this book and getting my family on a healthier track than we are currently on. #veganforlife
Cons: I really wish this book had the nutrition content listed. I want to know exactly how much protein there is in the dishes along with all the other vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy. You can of course add this all up by hand or download an app where you can scan you food labels. However, I’m the instant gratification type of girl.
I will update this blog post as I try out the different recipes and I will be rating them on a scale of 1-3. I will use a scale.
The Breakfast recipe I tried is the “French Toast” the ingredients are simple and just reading over them and the steps involved I know this is something in my moderate cooking skills area. It was amazingly delicious and held together well. It was a hit with the family! We did sub out the vegan bread listed and used wheat bread but it still turned out delicious.
I
was lucky enough to have received Sum Kuma’s Recipe Book for Vegans:
High Protein Vegan cookbook of dairy free vegan recipes for raw vegans
and vegetarians free for review as an Ebook. I don’t have pictures
myself of the cookbook but you can find it here on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Vegan-Protein-Cookbook-cholesterol-lifestyle-ebook/dp/B01M06UU1L/ref=sr_1_1?s=digitaltext&ie=UTF8&qid=1474442919&sr=1-1 *NOT AN AFFILIATED LINK THIS IS FOR BUYING AT FULL PRICE*

- How easy was it to find and obtain the ingredients
- How easy the recipe was to follow
- and the most important of all was it good?

- Easy ingredients had most of them on hand. The bread we could find at our local store that sells the bread. We have not givin it a try but we will. I wanted to finish the loaf we already had
- Directions were simple and easy to follow. I didn’t burn anything or turn it into slop!
- The taste was great I didn’t miss any of the milk, eggs, butter that traditional French toast has.
