Most mugs that have images on them will crack or peel if used in the dishwasher and microwave. This one you can poor your liquid of choice and re-heat if necessary and sometimes my mother will leave her cup out helping with the grandkids and then her tea gets cold. I have washed the mug and put it in the microwave and there was 0 damage done to the image on the mug.
