I received Buena Skin's Triple C Vitamin Serum free to try in exchange for an honest review.
I was excited to get this item as I have never tried facial serums before. I'm getting to the age where I need to really start thinking about my skin and how all these decades of fun in the sun, crazy hormons (I'm still fighting acne at 31! people) free radicals, and acne scars affects the way my skin looks.
What drew me to this serum was that it has three versions of vitamin C which is great for your skin. This prouct is supposed to firm, tighten, give a youthful glow, scavenge free radicals, reduces the appearance of age spots, fights wrinkles and fine lines, repairs sun damage, fade blemishes and acne scars, shrink pores. Its made in the USA, free of parabens and is cruelty free.
What you do is cleanse your face and twice a day use the serum. It comes in a 1oz bottle with a cap and a dropper is provided for you. The scent reminds me of a spa or a natural holistic store. You can really smell the sandlewood and lavender. This bottle has lots of oils in it but these are the two scents that I smell the most. So if you don't enjoy sandlewood or lavender you are not going to like this product. The liquid itself is cloudy looking with a tint of beige it is thicker than water but not completly gel like it will still slowly run down wherever it is placed. I have read lots of reviews that have stated that they don't like it because it is sticky or tacky after it dried. I myself have not had this problem. I use the dropper and place a couple of drops on my fingers. I than apply it to small areas at a time and really take the time to massage it into my skin. The product absorbs quickly into the skin. As it is still wet or damp on your face there is a sticky feel to it but rub it in good and wait a few moments and you will see that once completely dry it is not sticky or tacky. I was able to apply my make-up after it dries with no application issues. Now to be honest I haven't been using it long enough to see every result that it states. However, from my pictures you can see a difference on my cheek that had a nice acne breakout. I'm going to continue using the product until it is empty to see the difference.
There are some cons to this product. You do have to wait until it is completely dry to apply any make-up or moisturizers to your face. Depending on how heavy handed you are this make your experience with the product different from mine. If you do not like the smell of lavender or sandlewood you will not like the smell of this product and it does linger until it is completely dry. If you have oily skin I wouldn't recommend this product because it may cause you to break out. Always try a test patch somewhere you can hide blemishes if you get them.
